One suggestion and one problem

Death Streak Posts: 83 Group: Admins Member #6 Joined: Oct 5, 2009	Suggestion - One thing I think would be nice is if we could get a spell check when posting. Problem - Im geussing this is something you cant really control but with the "fast reply" at the bottom, when I type something in and click add reply it takes me to the full reply screen. Other than those two things the site is looking great!

Wisconsin Dells fanatic! Posts: 481 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Aug 13, 2009	I will look into both of these and see what I can do. I've asked about spellcheck on the Zetaboard support forums and they said that most browsers have built-in spellcheck. I will look for some other options though.

Quote: As for the fast reply issue, this is a problem with jQuery and Internet Explorer browsers. We don't know of a fix. I'm also looking into spell check. So far I havn't found any html codes like I did for the chat room and I also havn't seen anything on the Zetaboards support or resource forums. I did make a request so we'll see what happens. If you can find some spell check code oneline, please post it here.

Chrome also has a built in spell check. Speaking of spell check, here are the responses I got from support. Quote: There is no spell check feature, probably because most modern browsers that are used by the majority of Internet users have it built-in (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, IE8, perhaps even Safari). Quote: most browsers already have a built in spell checker. and it would be near impossible to make one for IF or ZB. sorry Quote: Unfortunately, we do not have the capability of modifying the underlying code behind ZetaBoards (yet), so there isn't much we can do. The spell-check features built into many modern browsers are much faster and much more accurate. Quote: nothing that could really be integrated into ZB or IF. if spelling is such a problem you should have your users use a browser like FF and that with a good spell checker built in So looks like the answer is just download a different internet browser.
